Question: Write the three functions of vagina?...

Write the three functions of vagina?

Explanation

Solution

From the process of ejaculation of sperm and the fertilization of eggs or release of eggs all are involved in the female reproductive process which is carried out by the reproductive organs.

Complete answer:
The female reproductive organs include the vagina, uterus, ovaries, and fallopian tubes. The vagina (internal genitalia) is a muscular, rigid sheath which is connecting the external genitals to the uterus. This muscular canal extends from the vulva to the neck of the uterus (cervix). This muscular tube opening is normally covered by a partial layer known as Hymen. The uterus is a pear-shaped muscular organ in the female reproductive tract, which expands considerably during the reproductive process. Whereas ovaries produce eggs also known as ova, and the fallopian tube involves the transportation of ova from the ovaries to the uterus, and there the egg is either fertilized or released out to menstruation.
Various functions are related to the vagina:
-During the menstruation cycle, the vagina is involved as the passageway through which mucosal tissue and blood come out from the uterus.
-During the sexual intercourse, the vagina receives the penis so that the process of ejaculation of sperms takes place for the fertilization of the ova inside the uterus.
-During the process of parturition (childbirth), the vagina becomes a passageway for the baby to come out of the uterus.

Note: Female reproductive system consist of the external genitalia, internal genitalia, and accessory reproductive organs. External genitalia acts as enabling sperm to enter the body, protecting the internal genital organs from infectious organisms. Internal genitalia serves as a two-way street i.e.accepting the penis, and sperm during intercourse.
