Why is the use of wood as a fuel not advisable although wood is a renewable source of energy?

Energy sources were of two types namely renewable, and non-renewable energy sources. Wood and solar energy are examples of renewable sources of energy, whereas coal and natural gas are examples of non-renewable sources of energy. Though wood is an example of a renewable source of energy it will not be used as a fuel due to the below conditions.

By burning wood, a lot of energy can be evolved. Wood can also be used as a fuel by burning the pellets, sheets, and saw-dust.
When renewable sources of energy are used it has good and adverse effects as these are non-extinguishable. Solar energy is considered a renewable source of energy like wood.
As wood is obtained from trees, to use wood as a fuel, trees have to be cut down which leads to deforestation. And results in pollution and carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere.
Thus, though wood is a renewable source of energy it is not advisable as a fuel as it leads to more environmental pollution.

Deforestation can be caused by the cutting of trees and decreases in the area of forests. Trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and release oxygen to the atmosphere. Thus, by cutting trees it will lead to the carbon dioxide level which is one of the main pollutants.
