Micro-irrigation which is also known as localized irrigation is a type of irrigation where distribution of water takes place under low pressure through a pipe network to each plant. Drip irrigation is a type of micro-irrigation where water falls drop by drop directly to the roots and is also the most efficient method of irrigation. Sprinkler irrigation system is one where sprinklers are distributed throughout fields, the sprinklers are connected to a water supply that sprays water into the fields. Subirrigation is the type of irrigation that helps to raise the level of water table which in turn moistens the soil. Rajasthan is a place that has scarcity of water hence drip irrigation is most suited since it is not only highly efficient but wastage of water by drip irrigation is also the least.
