Question: Which organ is first developed in an embryo?...

Which organ is first developed in an embryo?

Explanation

Solution

From the time of conception to the time of delivery, the baby undergoes several stages of development. Basically, it comes down to three trimesters each trimester of three months.

Complete answer:
During the development of the body, the heart is the first organ that gets developed in the embryo. There are various changes that take place at the time of embryonic development. The cells of the embryo i.e the stem cells multiply and develop. They multiply in high amounts so that the formation of the whole human body can be done. Gradually, the body parts and the major organs begin to develop.
The formation of the placenta takes place during the embryonic stage. It’s function is to rake nutrients, oxygen and water from the mother’s body and pass this along the body of the baby via the umbilical cord. It also removes the little waste that the baby produces.
The amniotic sac is formed at the time of embryonic stage as well. It is filled with amniotic fluid and its main function is to surround the baby and protect it in the uterus.
The heart is the first organ that develops. Initially, it is a S-shaped tube that is formed at the front of the embryo, which eventually forms the heart.

Note-
The process of cell division and cellular differentiation of embryos at the early stage of development of embryo is known as embryogenesis. Organ development in the embryo begins in the third week of the first trimester and is known as organogenesis.
