Cyclic photophosphorylation involves PSIPSI only and occurs in stromal lamellae which lack both PSIIPS II and NADPNADP reductase enzyme. The excited electron does not pass onto NADP+NADP^{+} but is cycled back to PSIPS I through electron transport chain hence only ATPATP is synthesised but not NADPH+H+NADPH + H^{+}
