C

D

72

Answer

64

Explanation

Solution

The correct option is (A): 64
When the bus started, let the total number of male passengers be 3x3x and the number of female passengers be xx.
Total number of passengers=4x4x
At first stop, number of male passengers=(4x16)×34=3x12=(4x-16)\times \frac{3}{4}=3x-12
and female passengers =(4x16)×14+6=x+2(4x-16)\times \frac{1}{4}+6=x+2

3x12x+2=21\frac{3x-12}{x+2}=\frac{2}{1}
3x12=2x+43x-12=2x+4
