The earth’s principal biological systems are being depleted by excessive use. Overfishing is sort of common practice. Forests are being moved to obtain firewood for cooking. Grasslands are turning into barren wastelands and croplands are deteriorating as their productivity has been impaired.
They form the worldwide financial system. They provide us with food. All of them provide all the raw materials for industry except minerals.
Human demands on these systems are increasing to some extent where their productivity is impaired.
