Question

Question: What is the ideal source of energy?...

What is the ideal source of energy?

Explanation

Solution

The energy can be renewable or non-renewable depending on the source. The energy which is occurring in nature in the inexhaustible form are renewable sources like solar, wind, hydro etc. The exhaustible sources are called the non-renewable. This source of energy cannot be regained again. Example fossil fuel. The ideal source of energy should be renewable in nature.

Complete answer:
We all are aware of the fact that the non-renewable sources of energy are exhaustible and will go away on continuous use. So we should rely on the sources of energy which are with us forever. The energy which will stay with us forever is said to be an ideal source of energy. Some ideal sources of energy are wind, water, solar, tidal etc.

Some of the characteristics of the ideal source of energy are-
• It should be readily available.
• The ideal source should produce a large amount of heat and light.
• The energy should be economical. Should not put extra pressure on the pocket.
• The energy should not cause any sort of smoke or pollution in the environment. Ideal source should be a clean source.
• The ideal source of energy must be easy to store and transport from one place to another.

Note: The energy can neither be created nor be destroyed. The energy obtained from the sources are harnessed and can be converted into one form to another. For example the solar energy is converted into chemical energy by plants, the tidal energy is converted into electrical energy which is used as the domestic energy at homes and industries.
