So, the discharge rate of batteries is defined as the battery capacity divided by the number of hours taken by the battery to charge or discharge. It helps in the determination of battery capacity as it provides the battery capacity as a function of the time.
For example- If a battery capacity is of 500Ah that is discharged to cut-off voltages in 20 hours. So its discharge rate will be 20h500Ah which is equal to 25A .
