The process of conversion of ammonia to nitrite and then further conversion of nitrite into nitrate is called notification.	The process of conversion of nitrate present in soil into nitrogen is called identification.
This is an oxidation process where ammonia is first oxidized into nitrite and further nitrite is oxidized into nitrate.	This is a reduction process where nitrate is reduced into atmospheric nitrogen.
It is an aerobic process.	It is an anaerobic process.
Nitrosomonas , Nitrococcus , and Nitrobacter are the bacteria responsible for nitrification	Pseudomonas and Thiobacillus are responsible for the denitrification process.
