Crude Death Rate (CDR) is a statistical term. It is used for measuring the decline in the population. The word crude is used because age or sex is not taken into account for making differences among the population. The opposite of the Crude death rate is the measuring of growth of population which is called the Crude Birth rate (CBR). Both of these are measured per 1000 population.
