Note: The Koyna dam project is established on four dams of which the major contributors are Koyna and Kolkewadi Dam. First of all, the water flows from the headrace tunnels situated below the reservoir. After that, it flows through the vertical pressure of shafts and reaches the underground powerhouses. After completing all these stages, the discharged water is stored in Kolkewadi Dam.
