The notation Tt means the heterozygous condition in genetics. In this condition a homologous pair contains different alleles of a gene. One homologous chromosome possesses the recessive allele and the other chromosome possesses the dominant allele present for a gene.
An individual contains a pair of alleles that are inherited from each parent that are present on homologous chromosomes; alleles are slightly different forms of one gene. The capital letter ‘T’ is used for the dominant allele, which is expressed phenotypically in the heterozygous condition. The lowercase ‘t’ letter expresses the recessive property which is expressed only in the homozygous condition.
