This is because the barrier method consists of mechanical devices that prevent the deposition of the sperms into the vagina. They prevent the mixing of body fluids. Due to this, the infection or the disease-causing pathogens cannot transmit from one body to another. One very common example of the barrier method is the condom. It is said to be the most effective method to prevent STDs. The condom is a tubular sheath of latex that is rolled over the male penis before copulation.
