Phospholipid bilayer is a membrane seen within the cells and this membrane plays a major role in there cellular mechanism the phospholipid bilayer is two layered where we have fatty acids with head and tail.
The head and tail of these fatty acids are arranged up and down to form the layer. The head and tail of the phospholipid bilayer are considered as hydrophilic head and hydrophobic tail which makes the hydrophilic head soluble for water molecules.
Hydrophobic tail is insoluble for water molecules hence the head part will allow the water molecules inside the cell whereas the tell part will repel the water molecules within the cells.
The two phospholipid layers are sandwiched between the glycerol head's hence the first lipid bilayer shows a sandwich modification phospholipid bilayer consists of glycerol molecules hence all the strongest lipid molecules. The phospholipid layer in the cell acts as a barrier to check the molecules entering and going out of the plasma membrane.
Also the phosphate tails in the first from lipid layer are completely not in contact; they are not attached to each other to help most of the fluid or the water molecule is observed between the phospholipids two layers.
