Calyx and corolla are accessory organs while androecium and gynoecium are reproductive organs. Some examples of flowers are rose, lily, jasmine, sunflower, marigold, etc.
1. Lily- The flower is large and of various colors. The white lily is the symbol of French royalty and the emblem of Quebec. They belong to the family of Liliaceae. The calyx and corolla are not distinct and are called perianth.
2. Tulip- Flower whose petals grow in the shape of a rounded vase; there are approximately 100 differently colored species. They belong to the liliaceae family. They have valvate aestivation and are good ornamentals.
3. Lupine- Lupin flowers have many colors. They are used as ornamental plants. They belong to the family Fabaceae. They have racemose inflorescence and have vexillary aestivation.
4. China rose- These flowers are also known as hibiscus. They belong to family malvaceae and order malvales. The flowers are large and conspicuous and have petals and are of different colours.
