It is asked in the problem that why do we feel excessive sweating on a cloudy day. On a cloudy day the sun rays are not able to penetrate the surface of the clouds and hit the surface of the earth and hence the heat produced on the day is very less.

When water molecules acquire heat then the molecules vibrate and then the bonding between the molecules of the water breaks and which leads to conversion of the water into gaseous state.

On normal days when we feel heat the body releases sweat which gets converted into gaseous form due to evaporation and as the heat is absorbed from the body surface we feel cold but on a cloudy day the humidity in the air is very high which means the water content in the air is very high. 0The humidity on a cloudy day is very high and due to which when we feel heat and we sweat then the air cannot convert the sweat into gaseous form leaving a cold sensation on our body. so we feel excessive heat on a cloudy day because the air has high humidity.
