$T _ { 6 } = 32$ and $T _ { 8 } = 128 \Rightarrow a r ^ { 5 } = 32$ .....(i)

and $a r ^ { 7 } = 128$ .....(ii)

Dividing (ii) by (i), $r ^ { 2 } = 4$ ⇒ r = 2.
