-Ovary is a small endocrine gland which locates on either side of the uterus and secretes different hormones.

-When this ovum is released it travels down into the fallopian tube through fallopian tube.
-The hormones secreted by the ovary are androgen, progestogen, inhibin and estrogen. These hormones play a crucial role in menstrual cycle and fertility.
-Fallopian tube-
-These are narrow tubes which connect both ovaries to the uterus.
-Fallopian tubes are also known as salpinges.
-The epithelium tissues in fallopian tubes have hair-like structures called cilia which help in the movements of ovum.
-The process of fertilization basically occurs in the fallopian tube when the ovum travels through it towards the uterus.
