We know the following trigonometric identity,
sin6x+cos6x=1−3(sin2x)(cos2x)
Using the same trigonometric identity in the given trigonometric question, we get,
⇒(1)3−3(sin22x)(cos22x)=167 ⇒1−3(sin22x)(cos22x)=167 ⇒−3(sin22x)(cos22x)=167−1 ⇒−3(sin22x)(cos22x)=167−16 ⇒−3(sin22x)(cos22x)=−169
Now, since minus (-) sign is on both the sides of the equation, it automatically cancels off.
