50

B

60

C

40

D

55

Answer

50

Explanation

Solution

Assume the number of passengers be xx

The amount received by each person be Rs.6500xRs. \frac{6500}{x}

From the question we know that,
=(x+15)(6500x30)=6500= (x + 15) (\frac{6500}{x} - 30) = 6500

= 650030x+(15×6500x)450=65006500 - 30x + (\frac{15 \times 6500}{x}) - 450 = 6500

= 30x2+(15×6500)450x=0- 30x^2 + (15 \times 6500) - 450x = 0

= x2+15x3250=0x^2 + 15x - 3250 = 0

= (x+65)(x50)=0(x + 65)(x - 50) = 0

So, the value of xx can be - 65 and 50

The number of persons cannot be negative so, 50

The correct option is (A): 50
