Passive immunity is provided through
a. Exogenous supply of antigens
b. Exogenous supply of antibodies
c. Endogenous supply of antigens
d. Endogenous supply of antibodies

Explanation

Solution

Immunity is nothing but the ability of microorganisms to resists themselves from the harmful pathogens that enter the body, it is a defense system of the body, and it consists of various components that are responsible to provide pathogen-specific immunity.

Complete answer:
Majorly immunity is of two types, they are Innate and acquired immunity.

Innate immunity: it is also called as non specific immunity, it is present in the organism from the birth, and this immunity has barriers which are act as a defensive system, and main barriers are skin, hair, respiratory tract, and gastrointestinal tract, etc
This innate immunity consists of various types of cells to kill the foreign particles, they are neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils, macrophages, mast cells, phagocytes, etc.

Acquired immunity: It Is also called adaptive immunity, where it is again divided into two types, they are active and passive immunity. Cells involved in acquired immunity are B cells and T cells.

Active immunity: It is the immunity mainly occurs if the body is directly in contact with a pathogen or its antigen, where in order to defend that foreign bodies, the body secretes the antibodies which are specific to certain antigens, and some of this antibodies are stored and can be used for a secondary attack, and this called as natural active immunity.

Passive immunity: It provides the immune response by the antibodies which are provided from the outside of the body, passive immunity has an immediate response where it fights with pathogens right away, where the active immunity is present for a lifetime but passive immunity is present for a short span. And they are off against two types, they are natural passive immunity and artificial passive immunity.

Hence, the correct answer is option (B).

Note: If antibodies are transferred from the mother to fetus through the placenta is an example of natural immunity, while if the person is non immunized to any certain disease, if the antibodies of that specific disease pathogens are transferred through blood, then it is called as artificial passive immunization.
