It consists of the nerves and ganglia which are present outside the brain of the human body, they are also present outside the spinal cord, it connects limbs, arms and other organs to the brain system by serving as a relay between the system. It can be affected by mechanical injuries or dysfunctional secretion of toxins which can cause major fatal disease.

It is a peripheral nervous system ( PNS) and the main nerves working are the somatic nervous system and the autonomic nervous system.
• The peripheral anxious system is divided into the somatic fearful gadget and the autonomic anxious machine. In the somatic fearful machine, the cranial nerves are part of the PNS except for the optic nerve (cranial nerve II), along with the retina.
• The somatic anxious device consists of the sensory nerve system and the somatosensory device and includes sensory nerves and somatic nerves, and many nerves which preserve each feature.
• In the head and neck, cranial nerves convey somatosensory facts. There are twelve cranial nerves, ten of which originate from the brainstem and especially manage the functions of the anatomic structures of the pinnacle with a few exceptions.
