The process of conversion of water into steam is known as evaporation or boiling. The steam is an invisible gas and it is odorless which contains the water vapours. Generally, the steam is scattered with tiny particles of water droplets and it becomes a cloudy appearance which is white in colour. This quick conversion is known as boiling and the temperature required for the conversion is known as boiling point.
The opposite process of evaporation is known as condensation and here the vapours of water are converted into water droplets.
