Question: Name the greatest vessels in relation to the heart....

Name the greatest vessels in relation to the heart.

Explanation

Solution

The vessels of the heart are the structures or organs which are responsible for providing the heart with the blood and then after the filtration distributing the blood to the entire body through networks.

Complete answer:
The heart is an involuntary muscle whose sole function is to pump the blood to the entire body after it is being filtered by the lungs. The greatest vessels which are associated with the heart are generally all the veins and arteries whose responsibility is to collect the deoxygenated blood from all the organs and then bringing it to the heart, then taking the blood from the heart to the lungs for the filtration and oxygenation followed by bring the blood back from the lungs and finally sending the blood back to all the organs and this cycle of bringing and sending if blood takes place as long as the heart is in working condition. The stopping of the heart will lead to the death of the individual.
First is the superior and the inferior vena cava who brings the deoxygenated blood from the upper and the lower parts of the body. They deposit the blood into the right auricle and from there it goes to the right ventricle.
From the left ventricle, the blood is taken to the lungs with the help of a pulmonary artery which is the only artery containing deoxygenated blood. And then from the lungs, the blood is brought back to the heart with the help of a pulmonary vein which is the only vein containing oxygenated blood. The oxygenated blood is deposited in the left auricle and from there it is sent to the left ventricle.
And in the last step, the blood is distributed to all the organs demanding the oxygen rich supply with the help of an artery called the aorta.

Additional Information: The process of filtration of blood is also known as double filtration and also the one cycle of the transfer of blood from the right auricle and leaving from the left ventricle is achieved within 0.8 seconds.

Note:
The vessels of the heart should not be confused with the sections of the heart or lungs which are responsible for collecting the two different types of blood in them. Also, the flow is regulated by the sphincters.
