Explanation
Solution
Answer (d) Environment
Environment. Mutation is said to be the heritable/non heritable sudden change in the genetic material of an organism. It can be caused by changes in the base sequence that will lead to the change in the proteins that are synthesised. Some mutations are caused in the non-coding part of the genome, it has nothing to do with the environment. Mutation can be caused by the error in the DNA replication, genetic recombination or exposure to the radiation.
