Mrs. Anita Pandey observed that her cooking utensils are becoming black in colour and the flame of her gas stove is yellowish in colour. She complains about it in the gas company and got the gas stove repaired.

Thus we should always clean the gas stoves or burners from time to time in order to prevent such situations.

Incomplete combustion can occur due to the absence or insufficient supply of oxygen and low temperature that results in an incomplete chemical reaction. For instance, incomplete combustion of carbon results into the production of carbon monoxide as a byproduct and this gas is poisonous as when it is absorbed in our lungs it will bind with the haemoglobin present in our red blood cells resulting in formation of carboxyhemoglobin which will inhibit the release of oxygen and cause death of an individual.
