Biology Question on Classification Of Animals
Mosquito receives air through
A
flagellum
B
cilia
C
pedicel
D
noneofthese
Answer
noneofthese
Explanation
Solution
In mosquito air enters and leaves the body through tiny breathing pores, the spiracles, located at the sides of thorax and abdomen in the thin membrane between segments. Spiracles are guarded by hair to keep out dirt and foreign objects and by minute valves which can be opened or closed to regulate the flow of air at will. Each spiracle opens into a small chamber, the atrium which further opens into air tubes, the tracheae. Finest branches of tracheae are called tracheoles.
