The hormones produced by placenta during pregnancy are Estrogen and Progesterone. Placenta connects the developing fetus to the wall of mother’s uterus diving, pregnancy. It grows in the wall of the uterus and is attached to the fetus within the uterine, cavity by umbilical cord.
Placenta contains a complex network of blood vessels that allow the exchange of nutrients and gasses between mother and developing fetus. The transfer of nutrients and oxygen from the mother to fetus, and waste products and back from the fetus to the mother.
