Biology Question on Structural Organisation of Animals and plants
Lining of intestine of man is
A

B
ciliated
C
non-keratinised
D
keratinised
Answer
brush bordered
Explanation
Solution
Brush border is the outer surface of columnar epithelial cells lining the intestine and kidney of man. With a light microscope, it appears as a narrow layer with vertical striations. But the electron microscope shows it to be made of fine hairline processes called microvilli. These greatly increase the surface area of the cell for absorption of dissolved substances.
