Mathematics Question on integral

Integrate the function: x2x6+a6\frac {x^2}{\sqrt {x^6+a^6}}

Answer

Let x3=tLet \ x^3 = t

3x2dx=dt⇒ 3x^2 dx = dt

x2x6+a6dx=13dtt2+(a3)2∴ ∫\frac {x^2}{\sqrt {x^6+a^6}} dx = \frac 13 ∫\frac {dt}{\sqrt {t^2+(a^3)^2}}

=13 log t+t2+a6+C=\frac 13\ log\ |t+\sqrt {t^2+a^6}|+C

=13 log x3+x6+a6+C=\frac 13\ log\ |x^3+\sqrt {x^6+a^6}|+C
