Let tan x=tLet\ tan\ x = t

sec2x dx=dt∴ sec^2x\ dx = dt

sec2xtan2x+4 dx=dtt2+22⇒ ∫\frac {sec^2x}{\sqrt {tan^2 x+4}}\ dx = ∫\frac {dt}{\sqrt {t^2+2^2}}

=log t+t2+4+C=log\ |t+\sqrt {t^2+4}|+C

=log tanx+tan2x+4+C=log\ |tan x+\sqrt {tan^2 x+4}|+C
