Question

Mathematics Question on integral

Integrate the function: 1x(logx)m,x>0\frac{1}{x(\log x)^m}, x>0

Answer

Let log x = t

1x\frac{1}{x}dx= dt

1x(logx)mdx=dt(t)m\Rightarrow \int \frac{1}{x(\log x)^m}dx=\int\frac{dt}{(t)^m}

=(tm+11m)+C\bigg(\frac{t^{-m+1}}{1-m}\bigg)+C

= (logx)1m(1m)+C\frac{(\log x)^{1-m}}{(1-m)}+C
