Question
Logical Reasoning Question on Statements and Conclusions
In this question, two statements are given followed by two conclusions I and II. You have to consider both the statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. You have to decide which of the given conclusions is/are definitely drawn from the given statements.
Statements :
Some businessmen are rich.
Soman is rich.
Conclusions :
I. Soman is a businessman.
II. Soman has a big farm.
Only I follows
Only II follows
Neither I nor II follows
Both I and II follow
Neither I nor II follows
Solution
Even though businessmen are rich and Sonam is also rich. There is no guarantee that Sonam is also a businessman.
Conclusion II Soman has a big farm, doesn't make any sense with the statement.
So, there is no complete surety that both the conclusions follow the statement.
The correct option is (C): Neither I nor II follows
