Solution
Net resistance of the circuit is 9Ω.
∴ Current drawn from the battery. = current through 3Ω resistor
Potential difference between A and B is
VA−VB=9−1(3+2)=4V=8i1
∴i1=0.5A
∴i2=1−i1=0.5A
Similarly, potential difference between C and D
VC−VD=(VA−VB)−i2(2+2)
4−4i2=4−4(0.5)=2V=8i3
∴i3=0.25A
Therefore, i4=i2−i3=0.5−0.25
i4=0.25A
