Mathematics Question on Vector Algebra

If a.a=0\vec{a}.\vec{a}=0 and a.b=0,\vec{a}.\vec{b}=0,then what can be concluded about the vector b\vec{b}?

Answer

It is given that a.a=0  and  a.b=0\vec{a}.\vec{a}=0 \space and \space \vec{a}.\vec{b}=0
Now,
a.a=0a2=0a=0\vec{a}.a=0⇒ |\vec{a}|^{2}=0⇒|\vec{a}|=0
a∴\vec{a} is a zero vector.
Hence,vector b\vec{b} satisfying a.b=0\vec{a}.\vec{b}=0 can be any vector.
