In this formula, MCV stands for Mean cell volume. It gives the analysis of average size of Red blood cells in the given amount of blood. This analysis helps in finding out the volume of the red cells when substituted in the formula mentioned above. Here, Hematocrit is the amount of blood that is used as a sample by the Pathologist.
The pathologist takes the measured amount of blood sample and substitutes the value as hematocrit while the rest are the consonants that require mathematical calculations only.
