4.It is needed to protect us from various diseases like monocytes and neutrophils that help in digesting the harmful bacteria and other disease-causing organisms. Hence, blood is needed in our body in many ways and it is an important part of our body.
The average adult that has a weight of 150 to 180 pounds should have about 1.2 to 1.5 gallons of blood in Their body. This constitutes about 4,500 to 5,700 mL.
