How does the presence of various cell organelles be helpful?

Explanation

Solution

The cell is known to be the structural and functional unit of life. It comprises several components known as the cell organelles that carry out different functions within the cell.

Complete answer:
The cell organelles are of three different kinds based on the presence or absence of membrane- organelles without membranes such as ribosome, organelles with single membrane such as golgi apparatus and endoplasmic reticulum and organelles with double membrane such as chloroplast, nucleus and mitochondria.

Few of the most important cell organelles are the nucleus, the endoplasmic reticulum, the chloroplast, the mitochondria , the ribosome and the lysosome. The nucleus is a double membrane bound organelle where the genetic material of the cell is found. The genetic material is condensed in the form of chromosomes which are thin thread like structures and are known to contain genes.

The endoplasmic reticulum helps in the transportation of materials throughout the cell and are of two types- the smooth endoplasmic reticulum and the rough endoplasmic reticulum both having different roles. The chloroplasts are also double membrane bound organelle that are mostly found on green plants and some other organisms and help in the process of photosynthesis. The mitochondria helps in the production of ATP that provides energy to the cell. The ribosome helps in the synthesis of proteins and the lysosome helps in the destruction of pathogens and worn out cells

Note: Each organelle of the cell carries out different roles which helps in the proper functioning of the cell. It also helps in the division of labour which is helpful because if one organelle had to carry out all functions the probability of error occurring would be more.
