arcsin(x)=−arctan(x)
Removing the common arc function,
sin(x)=−tan(x)
Now we know that tanx=cosxsinx
So we can write,
sin(x)=−cosxsinx
Taking it on left side,
sin(x)+cosxsinx=0
Taking the LCM we get,
cosxsinx.cosx+sinx=0
Now transposing denominator we get,
sinx.cosx+sinx=0
Now taking sinx common we can write,
sinx(cosx+1)=0
Now equating the terms separately to zero we get,
sinx=0or(cosx+1)=0
For second bracket we can write,
sinx=0orcosx=−1
So we can conclude,
x=0 since sin zero degrees is 0.
x=π since cosπ=−1
So x=0,π
But since the domain of arcsin is between -1 and 1. So we can just take zero as the correct solution that is x=0.
