How do you appreciate the stomach as a churning machine? How does this coordination go on?

Explanation

Solution

Stomach is called a churning machine, Because it churns the food and increases digestion. The mixing of food in the human stomach occurs by peristalsis movement or wave. This wave occurs by muscular contractions that move towards the wall of the stomach. This process can lead to churning foods mixed with the digestive enzymes. So the food digested easily.

Complete answer:
First of all, the food we eat enters the intestine. We have both small and large intestines. The parts used in digestion process are mouth, peristalsis movement, stomach, small intestine, pancreas, liver and large intestine. First the mouth churns the food by using saliva. So the starch (carbohydrate) is released from the churned food. Stomach acts like a churning machine. The enzymes that participate in the churning are stomach acid and digestive enzymes. So, the food that comes after the breakdown is proteins. After that food goes through the small intestine. In the small intestine the movement occurs that is called a peristalsis. The digestive juices are mixed with small parts of foods .The food released from this process are carbohydrates, protein and starch. After that pancreatic juice is added and the fats, proteins and carbohydrates are released. Next the food comes into the liver. In this bile is added and fats are released. At last the food comes into the large intestine. There also peristalsis movement occurs and the bacteria act on food particles. Churning the food helps to move liquid food towards the lower abdomen. The liquid part is called a chyme. After chyme reaches the pyloric sphincter the muscle band separates the stomach from the small intestine. These muscles relax the small intestine for the movement of chyme into the small intestine. Chyme is defined by the creamy paste which is called as a digested food in the stomach. The stomach wall has three layers of muscles. In mechanical digestion the food is churn and squeezed by these muscles in the stomach. Hydrochloric acid helps to break the large particle into liquid. So, that stomach is called a churning machine.

Note:
Digestion has two types. They are mechanical digestion and chemical digestion. The enzymes which are used in the stomach churning are amylase and lipase. It is the enzymes in the saliva. It breaks carbohydrates and fats. After the protein source reaches the stomach Hydrochloric acid and enzymes break the food into smaller particles that are called as amino acids.
