Given below are two statements:
Statement I: An English Clergyman and Economist, Thomas R. Malthus, noted that the number of people in the world had begun to increase arithmetically (as in series 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) and feared that the world might head towards a period of Catestrophic Starvation.
