The alimentary canal of the cockroach starts with the foregut that consists of the mouth which is surrounded by the parts of the mouth. A cavity in the mouth is known as the pharynx and the foregut exchange in the form of an esophagus which consists of a thin wall structure. The extension of the canal constitutes a similar structure to the esophagus and the opening for the crop is known as gizzard or proventriculus and the organ is muscular with a duo of salivary glands. It constitutes branches where the secretion of various branches flow to a combined passage and the reservoir which is the receptacle of the salivary gland resembles a bladder in the place for both of the salivary glands. The salivary glands constitute the storage of salivary secretion and the passage is rectangular shaped which opens to the combined salivary passage. The midgut comprises the stomach and 6 pairs of gastric cancer in the joint of the gizzard and the stomach with the ring-like and pouch-like structures at the anterior and of the stomach. The peritrophic membrane lines the stomach and saves the stomach wall from the damages and fully passable for the enzymes and food digested.
