When 55 cell are joined in series as shown,

i=5E5r+Ri=\frac{5\, E}{5\, r+R}
So, according to the questions
5E5R+r=5E5r+R\frac{5 \,E}{5\, R+r}=\frac{5 \,E}{5\, r+R}
5R+r=5r+R5\, R+r=5 \,r+R
