Find the values of other five trigonometric functions if sinx=35,sin\,x=-\frac{3}{5}, x lies in second quadrant.

sinx=32sin\,x=\frac{3}{2}

cosecx=1sinx=1(35)=53cosec\,x=\frac{1}{sin\,x}=\frac{1}{(\frac{3}{5})}=\frac{5}{3}

sin2x+cos2x=1sin^2x+cos^2\,x=1

cos2x=1sin2x⇒cos^2x=1-sin^2x

cos2x=1(35)2⇒cos^2x=1-(\frac{3}{5})^2

cos2x=1925⇒cos^2x=1-\frac{9}{25}

cos2x=1625⇒cos^2\,x=\frac{16}{25}

cos2x=±45⇒cos^2\,x=±\frac{4}{5}

Since x lies in the 2nd quadrant, the value of cos x will be negative

cosx=45∴cos\,x=-\frac{4}{5}

secx=1cosx=1(45)=54sec\,x=\frac{1}{cos\,\,x}=\frac{1}{(-\frac{4}{5})}=-\frac{5}{4}

tanx=sinxcosx=(35)(45)=34tan\,x=\frac{sin\,x}{cos \,x}=\frac{(\frac{3}{5})}{(-\frac{4}{5})}=\frac{3}{4}

cotx=1tanx=43cot\,x=\frac{1}{tan\,x}=\frac{4}{3}
