Question
Question: Explain the properties of liquid pressure....
Explain the properties of liquid pressure.
Solution
- Hint: In this question firstly, we understand about the liquid pressure as it is the pressure exerted by a liquid changes with depth in the liquid. The pressure exerted by a liquid is slight just under the surface of the liquid, but as we go deeper in a liquid the pressure of liquid increases, as the depth increases the weight of liquid column pushing down from above increases and hence the pressure also increases and by using the concept behind, we will learn about the various kinds of properties that a liquid pressure shows. And hence, by this information we will be easily approaching our answer.
Complete step-by-step answer:
On the surface of the container, the pressure of the liquid or on any body’s surface in the liquid the weight of column of the liquid is equal and its height is equal to the depth of the liquid at certain points. When we increase the pressure at increasing depths in a liquid the liquid pressure is created. It can be caused by gravity, forces, acceleration, etc. It can also be done by the Hydraulic mechanisms which changes with the velocity of the fluid.
Properties of a liquid pressure:
At equal depth pressure at all points is equal.
Pressure of the liquid increases with the depth of the liquid
Liquid’s pressure does not depend on the size or shape of the container.
Pressure which is acted in a liquid is acted in all directions.
At the lowest point of the cylinder the pressure of water is highest because the water spurts out from this point.
Note: A liquid is seeked by its own level. The Pressure’s S.I. unit is Pascal pr Newton per meter square. An object which is submerged partly or completely in a fluid, on the bottom of its surface they experience a greater liquid pressure. And this causes the resultant force in the upward direction.
