3g – T₁ = 3a …………… (i)

T₁ – T₂ = 3a …………… (ii)

T₂ = 3a ………….. (iii)

Adding (i), (ii) and (iii)

a = $\frac{g}{3}$ ; T₂ = 3a = g

$\frac{\Delta l}{l} = \frac{F/A}{Y} = \frac{T}{AY} = \frac{g}{5 \times 10^{- 3} \times 2 \times 10^{11} \times 10^{- 4}} = 10^{- 4}.$
