W=F.s
Where F is the applied force and s is the displacement covered.
In the question it is given that the we are pushing the rock with all our might , but the rock does not move , and we can see that the displacement s of the rock will be zero
Thus , s=0
Putting this value of s in the above formula for W , we get that the work done will be zero.
