A. Madhya Pradesh
B. Arunachal Pradesh
C. Bihar
D. Haryana

Explanation

Solution

Sex ratio is a ratio of the number of girls to the number of boys in a particular region. Disturbing sex ratio is the ratio when the number of girls and boys are not equal. The sex ratio is quite low in the north Indian states of India.

Complete answer:
Madhya Pradesh –
Madhya Pradesh has a relatively fair sex ratio for the Indian states. It consists of 930 females for every 1,000 males as per the census of 2011, which is considered fairly good but some scope is still present for improvement.
Arunachal Pradesh –
The sex ratio of Arunachal Pradesh improved significantly in the 2011 census. In the 2001 census, the sex ratio of the state was found to be low. It was 893 females for every 1,000 males. However, with the conscious efforts of the government and the awareness amongst people this sex ratio improved in the next census and became 938 females for every 1,000 males, which is considered fairly good.
Bihar –
The sex ratio in the state of Bihar is 918 females for every 1,000 males as per the census of 2011. This sex ratio is below the national sex ratio average of 940 females for every 1,000 males. However, this can be still considered okay but drastic steps are needed from the side of the government so that this number does not fall further and become critical.
Haryana –
Haryana is one of the Indian states with the lowest sex ratio. It consists of 861 females for every 1,000 males as per the census of 2011. This sex ratio is considered fairly low and disturbed. Due to this reason, the government is taking several measures to stop female infanticide, and encourage people to educate their daughters and provide them good lives.
Thus, based on the above information we can conclude that a disturbed sex ratio can be seen in Haryana.
Hence, the correct answer is option (D).

Note: Amongst all the Indian states, Kerala has the best sex ratio. Kerala consists of 1,084 females for every 1,000 males. The chief reason for this is the high literacy rate of the state. Also, people nourish their culture in Kerala which treats females as goddesses. Other Indian states with impressive literacy rates are Pondicherry with 1,038 females for every 1000 males, Tamil Nadu with every 995 females for every 1,000 males, Andhra Pradesh with every 992 females for every 1,000 males, and Chhattisgarh with every 991 females for every 1,000 males.
