We know that Speed = $\frac{\text{Distance}}{\text{Time}}$
Speed of Hamid $= \frac{9m}{1h}$
= 9km/h
and speed of Akhtar$=\frac{ 12m}{1h}$
= 12km/h
Ratio of speed of Hamid to that of speed of Akhtar = $\frac{9}{12}$
$= \frac{3}{4}$
$= 3:4$
